1The Challenge
Flight operations, ticket sales, and customer feedback each had their own system and their own reporting cycle. Executives had no single place to understand whether delays were affecting satisfaction, where revenue was coming from, or which routes were underperforming.
Reporting took days and numbers disagreed between departments. The goal was to build a centralised BI ecosystem that would give leadership real-time operational visibility, eliminate manual reporting, and surface KPIs that drive smarter, faster decisions.
2The Solution
Bivonix designed a Kimball star schema SQL Server data warehouse with SSIS ETL pipelines — then delivered five Power BI dashboards covering every layer of the operation:
- SSIS pipelines with data quality controls and anomaly detection
- Star schema — Flight_Fact, Ticket_Sales_Fact, Feedback_Fact
- DirectQuery for live flight ops, Import Mode for historical data
- Route OTP, delay cause breakdown, and utilisation tracking
